The Denza Z electric four-seat sports car from BYD arrived at dealers across China ahead of the sales launch, scheduled for Q4 2026. It previously began domestic pre-sales at 680,000 yuan (101,090 USD), boasting a peak power of 1,180 kW (1,582 hp).
The Denza Z sports car arrived at dealers in coupe and racing track modifications, Yan Zhao Auto reported. The standard coupe hardtop edition is finished in silver, boasting blackened pillars and roof. Another big highlight of this version is semi-hidden door handles. This version’s dimensions are 4780/1990/1330 mm. The wheelbase is 2,780 mm.



Inside, the standard Denza Z for China adopts a D-shaped steering wheel with a stalk-mounted gear shifter, a 12.8-inch center screen, a streaming rear-view mirror, and an 8.88-inch LCD instrument cluster. The car has a set of physical buttons under the main display. There is a single cup holder in the center tunnel, complemented by a wireless phone charger and a fragrance system. The Denza Z’s seats are wrapped in leather and suede.
The track version of the Denza Z comes standard with retractable door handles that will be banned in China on January 1, 2027. This model has aggressive bumpers and a large rear wing to boost downforce. The car is finished in orange. It also has blackened rims with staggered tires (275/35 in the front and 325/30 in the back) and orange brake calipers. This variant has a top speed of 350 km/h. The Denza Z Track Edition’s interior boasts more orange accents and elements made of carbon fiber.



This model adopts a three-motor layout with a front TZ220QYD e-motor producing 500 kW (670 hp) and two TZ226XYG electric motors in the rear boasting a combined power of 680 kW (912 hp). The combined peak power of this powertrain reaches 1,180 kW (1,582 hp). Energy delivery relies on a 76 kWh LFV battery that supports flash charging. The car speeds up to 100 km/h in 1.96 seconds. Its WLTP range is 380 km to 410 km under WLTP conditions.
It is worth noting that the Denza Z previously began pre-sales in the UK. Its entry-level coupe version costs 142,900 GBP (193,540 USD).
