- HIMA delivered 42,101 vehicles in August, down 5.52% year-on-year and about 7% from July.
- Retail sales from January through August reached 329,739 vehicles, up about 11% year-on-year.
Huawei-backed HIMA (Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance) delivered 42,101 vehicles in August, down 5.52% year-on-year and marking its third consecutive month of decline.
Deliveries fell 6.54% from 45,046 vehicles in July, according to figures released by HIMA on Tuesday.
HIMA's delivery figures differ slightly from the retail sales figures reported by the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA). For example, CPCA data showed HIMA recorded retail sales of 45,422 vehicles in July.
From January through August, HIMA's cumulative retail sales reached 329,739 vehicles, up 11.42% year-on-year, according to CPCA data compiled by CnEVPost.

The alliance said in Tuesday's announcement that its year-to-date deliveries rose 10.8% year-on-year.
HIMA's cumulative deliveries across its entire lineup have surpassed 1.52 million vehicles. The alliance said this continued to set a delivery-speed record among China's emerging auto brands.
HIMA's monthly deliveries climbed steadily in the second half of 2025, reaching 52,916 vehicles in September, 68,216 in October, 81,864 in November and 89,611 in December. However, it has underperformed this year.
Cumulative deliveries of the Luxeed V9 MPV (multi-purpose vehicle), developed by Huawei and Chery (HKEX: 9973), have surpassed 20,000 units. The model was launched on May 15 with a starting price of 389,800 yuan ($57,480).
The Aito M6, jointly developed by Huawei and Seres (HKEX: 9927), has surpassed 45,000 cumulative deliveries 4 months after its launch, HIMA said.
The alliance is accelerating new model launches in an effort to revive growth. The Stelato G9, developed by Huawei and BAIC Group, was launched on August 20 and secured more than 5,000 firm orders within 24 hours.
The Maextro V800 and V680, developed by Huawei and Anhui Jianghuai Automobile Group Corp (JAC), received more than 3,500 firm orders within 24 hours of their launch. The 2 MPVs were launched on August 5.
HIMA is central to Huawei's automotive business. The technology giant has partnered with 5 established Chinese automakers to create 5 brands spanning the 150,000-yuan to 1.5-million-yuan price range: Seres' Aito, Chery's Luxeed, SAIC's Shangjie, BAIC Group's Stelato and JAC's Maextro.
Huawei continues to expand its automotive partnerships. Aistaland, created by GAC Group (HKEX: 2238) and Huawei, launched its first model, the GT7, in June. Epicland, jointly developed by Huawei and Dongfeng, is expected to begin deliveries of its first model, the X9, in September.
