Interior spy photos of Great Wall Motor’s (GWM) extended Tank 700 reveal a six-seat cabin, while Chinese regulatory filings detail two plug-in hybrid configurations. The long-wheelbase (LWB) SUV measures 5,445 mm long and has a 3,150 mm wheelbase. Powertrain options include a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder with GWM’s Hi4-Z system and a 3.0-litre twin-turbo V6.
Chinese automotive outlet Autohome published images showing the model in the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology’s (MIIT) Batch 411 homologation documents. The extended model was previously covered in our report on GWM’s six-seat 5.4-meter Tank 700. It adds a third row and 340 mm to the body length of the five-seat, standard-wheelbase Tank 700 Hi4-T, which launched in China with a 3,000 mm wheelbase. GWM’s later Tank 700 launch report also provides background on the model line.
The standard-wheelbase Tank 700 Hi4-T recorded 850 domestic sales in September 2026, down 44.9% month on month but up 70% year on year. Sales peaked at 2,628 in May before falling for four consecutive months. Its share of Tank brand sales dropped from 24.3% in June to 8.2% in September, according to China EV DataTracker.
The six-seat cabin retains the existing cockpit layout
Spy photos show a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 15.6-inch central touchscreen, and physical toggle switches beneath the display.
The cabin uses a 2+2+2 layout, with second-row captain’s chairs separated by a central passage. The third-row seats fold forward to expand the cargo area. The images don’t show third-row legroom or luggage capacity with all six seats occupied.

Wheelbase grows by 150 mm, with 190 mm added behind the rear axle
MIIT lists the LWB at 5,445 mm long, 2,126 mm wide and 2,021 mm tall, with a 3,150 mm wheelbase. The standard model measures 5,105 mm long and 2,061 mm wide. At 1,985 mm tall, the LWB is 36 mm taller.
The LWB is 340 mm longer and 65 mm wider. Its wheelbase accounts for 150 mm of the added length, while the remaining 190 mm extends the rear overhang. This geometry can affect the departure angle, but the available figures do not establish the LWB’s actual angle.
Listed curb weight ranges from 3,396 to 3,480 kg, with the upper figure 290 kg above the standard model’s 3,190 kg maximum. Towing limits are 2,500 kg with brakes and 750 kg without. Curb weight does not establish gross vehicle weight rating or driving-licence eligibility; export-market assessments require certified maximum mass and applicable local regulations.

Hi4-Z battery and V6 powertrain take different approaches
The 2.0T Hi4-Z configuration uses the E20NB turbocharged four-cylinder engine, rated at 185 kW maximum output and 180 kW net power. Its 59.05 kWh ternary lithium battery, supplied by SVOLT, supports a listed 190 km pure-electric range under WLTC.
Hi4-Z drives the rear axle independently, without a longitudinal propeller shaft connecting the front and rear axles. GWM outlined the architecture in its announcement of the Hi4-Z hybrid platform.
GWM rates the platform for 163 kW DC fast charging and claims a 30%–80% charge in about 15 minutes. These figures have not been confirmed for the production Tank 700 LWB.
The V6 configuration uses the E30Z 3.0-litre twin-turbo engine, rated at 265 kW maximum output and 260 kW net power. It pairs with a nine-speed hydraulic automatic transmission, an electric motor, and a mechanically connected four-wheel-drive system. The available filing does not establish its battery capacity or electric range.
The V6 version carries a GF badge. Tank brand CEO Gu Yukun said on September 9, 2026, that GF stands for “Great Faith” and identifies a performance-oriented series beginning with 3.0-litre V6 powertrains. The Tank 700 GF is its first production model, with a launch planned for the end of 2026.
