Geely Holding will bring Google Gemini, Google Maps, and Google Play to overseas markets in H2 2027, the company’s chief technology officer, Dr. Shen Yuan, revealed. It will allow Geely cars to download various apps, use the Google navigation system, and voice commands. Brands with Google services will include Geely brand, Lynk & Co, Riddara, or Smart (JV with Mercedes-Benz).
On October 16, Geely Holding Group officially revealed that it established a global partnership with Google. This automaker will reportedly build a digital-cockpit ecosystem. It will be applied to Geely’s passenger vehicle brands in overseas markets where Google services are available. The first model with Google services on board will reach the global market in the second half of 2027. However, the name of the first model with Google services on board has yet to be disclosed.
Geely Holding Group CTO, Dr. Shen Yuan, said that this agreement gives the company a way to connect its vehicles to an ecosystem that is already part of the drivers’ preferred daily routines. He highlighted that Google Gemini, Google Maps, and Google Play are the services people use every day. On Geely vehicles, those services will allow drivers to find destinations, discover nearby charging stations, use apps, and handle other routine tasks.
“This partnership is not about putting more technology in front of the driver. It is to make the technology feel less demanding and more intuitive. A digital cockpit can become crowded very quickly. Features compete for attention, menus become deeper, a simple journey can require too many taps,” said Dr. Shen Yuan.
Previously, Geely’s premium brand Zeekr announced a partnership with AirConsole to bring in-car cloud-based gaming to the vehicles. In April 2026, Zeekr officials also signed a cooperation agreement with 3 Screen Solutions (3SS), a digital entertainment solution provider, to create a media platform based on Android Automotive OS. So, Geely Holding Group is gradually adapting its cars for the global markets. It is worth noting that the company’s portfolio includes Geely, Geely Galaxy, Zeekr, Lynk & Co, Volvo, Polestar, Lotus, Smart, Farizon, Proton, LEVC, and Riddara brands.
