BYD’s Ti 7 crossover has been a massive hit for the NEV giant, briefly becoming China’s best-selling PHEV SUV. It has also become a key part of BYD’s global expansion, with exports to multiple markets. A long-wheelbase (LWB) variant has now been spotted in China, hinting at the launch of a larger model.
In China, the Ti 7 is marketed under the Fang Cheng Bao (FCB) brand and retails between 179,800 and 239,800 yuan (26,900 – 35,800 USD). It’s offered as a pure EV and a PHEV, with EV trims supporting BYD’s Flash Charging tech.
Stretched for more seats
The FCB Ti 7, as it’s known in China, is only offered with 5 seats in a 2+3 configuration. Export Ti 7, however, features 7 seats with a 2+3+2 layout. Both domestic and export variants share a 2,920 mm wheelbase and a 4,999 mm length (excluding the rear-mounted spare tyre).
The latest spy shots show a camouflaged Ti 7 undergoing road tests in China. The SUV in question sports a D-pillar pushed further back, along with a larger third-row window. Other details, such as the front, rear, and lighting elements, remain unchanged.

While the vehicle lacks most of its exterior plastic cladding, a visible indent at the rear hints at the inclusion of the standard Ti 7’s rear-mounted spare tyre.
Great Han, Great “Ti 7”
Interior images have yet to surface, but the LWB Ti 7 is expected to offer a larger cabin for its 7 occupants. Chinese sources expect the stretched Ti 7 will be sold alongside regular models, offering both 5- and 7-seat options.
This larger model would be the next step up for prospective Ti 7 buyers and help retain customers who might be tempted by larger NEV SUV rivals. Like BYD’s Han, Han L, and Da Han (Great Han) sedans, a larger Ti 7 would offer a middle option between the standard Ti 7 and flagship Ti 9 SUVs.
While powertrain options are unknown for now, BYD is not expected to offer an entry-level FWD option for the larger Ti 7. The SUV is expected to offer Flash Charging-capable EV and PHEV trims, with AWD standard across the range.
More on the Ti 7
The standard Ti 7 is offered in China with EV and PHEV powertrains. EV models, which support Flash Charging, are available with 92 kWh and 105.7 kWh batteries, for a max CLTC range of 755 km . RWD and dual-motor AWD are also available.
PHEV models offer batteries ranging from 26.6 to 50 kWh, with a maximum CLTC range of 315 km . It’s paired with a 1.5-litre turbocharged 115 kW (154 hp) engine, with entry-level models limited to FWD.
The standard Ti 7 measures 4999/1995/1865 mm and has a 2,920 mm wheelbase. Curb weight ranges from 2,230 to 2,610 kg, depending on powertrain and trim.
