Xiaomi Auto, the automotive unit of Xiaomi (HKEX: 1810), said on Tuesday that its vehicle deliveries remained above 30,000 in August.

The company added that it was making full preparations for the launch and deliveries of Sky Nomad vehicles.

This marked the fifth consecutive month Xiaomi Auto delivered more than 30,000 vehicles. The company again did not disclose an exact figure or provide a model breakdown.

More detailed monthly delivery figures are expected to be released by the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA) later this month.

Xiaomi Auto delivered 31,267 vehicles in July, up 2.68% from a year earlier but down 9.99% from June, according to CPCA data.

The company delivered 36,396 vehicles in August 2025. Because its latest update provides only a lower bound, it is not yet possible to determine the year-on-year or month-on-month changes for August.

Xiaomi Auto delivered 216,322 vehicles in the first 7 months of the year, up 14.83% year-on-year, according to data compiled by CnEVPost.

Using 30,000 as the lower-bound estimate for August, deliveries in the first 8 months totaled about 246,322, equivalent to 44.8% of its annual target of 550,000 vehicles.

To meet that target, Xiaomi Auto would still need to average about 75,900 deliveries per month from September through December, roughly 2.4 times its actual July volume.

Sky Nomad will be a key variable in whether Xiaomi Auto can accelerate its growth. Xiaomi formally unveiled the second vehicle series on July 30, marking its first entry into the extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) segment.

The flagship 7-seat N90 Max SUV and the 5-seat N70 Max are both scheduled to launch in September. Xiaomi also plans to introduce Pro and standard versions of both models later.

The series, however, is entering a segment that has recently come under pressure. Retail sales of EREVs in China fell 15.35% year-on-year to 535,000 units in the first 7 months, according to CPCA data.

The pace of Sky Nomad's launch and delivery ramp-up will determine whether Xiaomi Auto can significantly narrow the gap with its annual target in the final 4 months.
