The Aiva ME7, the inaugural model from the partnership between Seres and CATL, has officially appeared in the latest product catalogue released by China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT).

All versions feature a five-seat layout and provide a suite of optional equipment, including red brake callipers, a black roof, various wheel designs, towing hitch capabilities, and ETC onboard units. Each vehicle is also equipped with an Event Data Recorder (EDR).

Powertrain details
The Aiva ME7 is powered by ternary lithium-ion batteries manufactured by CATL.
- Single-motor version: Equipped with a rear-mounted motor (Model QT63TZ220001) produced by Chongqing Qingshan Industrial Co., Ltd., delivering a peak power of 270 kW (362 hp).
- Dual-motor version: Features an all-wheel-drive system. The front motor (Model YY63YS230003), produced by Chongqing Jinkang Powertrain New Energy Co., Ltd., provides a peak power of 150 kW (201 hp). The rear motor remains identical to the single-motor configuration, offering 270 kW (362 hp) of peak power. This brings the total power output of the four-wheel-drive model to 420 kW (563 hp).
CATL put two high-end CTP 2.0 battery pack production lines into operation at Seres’ factory as early as June 2025, enabling local battery production and “production-to-installation” delivery, with nearby power battery systems for flagship models such as the Aito M9 and M8. A week ago, Seres and CATL signed an agreement to accelerate construction of Phase II of the “factory-within-a-factory” project. Phase II is planned to have an annual capacity of 10 to 12 GWh; once completed, the combined annual capacity of Phases I and II will exceed 20 GWh.
