On October 10, Geely officially launched the Battleship 700 (named Geely Galaxy Zhanjian 700 in China), a mid-to-large plug-in hybrid (PHEV) SUV built on the GTA new energy off-road architecture. The vehicle received over 10,000 firm orders within the first 12 minutes of its launch.
The Battleship 700 is available in six configurations, with introductory prices ranging from 179,800 yuan (26,800 USD) to 369,800 yuan (55,200 USD).
Design and dimensions
The vehicle features a “boxy” design language. The front fascia is equipped with the “Sky Eye” lighting system, featuring 228 high-brightness LED beads and a glowing logo. The hood includes flat vents and prominent muscle lines, while the front bumper is accented with orange trim and a tow hook. A roof-mounted 192-line LiDAR sensor highlights its sensing capabilities.
The SUV measures 5,085mm in length, 1,999mm in width, and 1,912mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,900mm. It boasts an approach angle of 30°, a departure angle of 31°, and a minimum ground clearance of 233mm.

Interior and Technology
Inside, the “One World” cockpit features a five-screen linkage system, including a 10.2-inch instrument cluster, a 15.2-inch HUD, a 15.4-inch 2K centre console screen, a 12.66-inch passenger screen, and a rear control screen. Powered by the Longying 6P chip and running Flyme Auto 2, the system integrates with Geely’s proprietary satellite network.
The cabin is designed for comfort, featuring “Marshmallow” SPA seats with 14-point massage, ventilation, and heating. The rear seats can fold flat to create a 1.8m by 1.1m bed. Additional amenities include an 18.5L dual-door refrigerator, a 50W wireless fast charger, and an onboard oxygen generator.
Performance and off-road capability
The Battleship 700 utilises the new Thor EM-T off-road hybrid technology. Performance specifications vary by powertrain:
| Powertrain | Combined power | Combined torque | 0-100 km/h |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1.5T + Single Motor | 350 kW (469 hp) | 605 Nm | 6.4 s |
| 1.5T + Triple Motor | 690 kW (925 hp) | 1,165 Nm | 4.2 s |
| 2.0T + Triple Motor | 830 kW (1,114 hp) | 1,330 Nm | 3.95 s |
Equipped with a 47.14kWh CATL lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery, the SUV provides a CLTC pure electric range of 305 km (247 km WLTP) and a combined range exceeding 1,770 km (1,434 km WLTP), reaching 10% to 80% in 10 minutes.
Equipped with a high-precision “Magic Carpet” suspension, dual-chamber air springs, and CCD variable damping, the vehicle can actively adjust its height to assist in off-road recovery. It features a maximum wading depth of 800mm and an innovative emergency floating mode, allowing the vehicle to navigate through water at speeds up to 7 km/h (4.3 mph) for up to 40 minutes.

Safety and Intelligence
The vehicle is equipped with the G-ASD G-Pilot (Qianli Haohan) H5 or H7 intelligent driving system, powered by the Thor-U chip with 700 TOPS of computing power, enabling full-scenario navigation assistance and automated parking. Safety is bolstered by 16 active safety features, including a 130 km/h AES steering collision avoidance system and a robust “Star Armour” body structure utilising high-strength steel.
