Volkswagen Anhui has officially opened pre-sales for its latest flagship model, the ID. Unyx 09. Positioned as a mid-to-large pure electric coupe, the vehicle is available for pre-order at 199,900 yuan (29,400 USD) for the single-motor version and 249,900 yuan (36,800 USD) for the AWD version. The model is first revealed at the Beijing Auto Show 2026 and scheduled for an official market launch at the end of October.
Design
The ID. Unyx 09 features a sleek fastback silhouette. The vehicle measures 5,081 mm in length, 1,980 mm in width, and 1,509 mm (or 1,526 mm depending on configuration) in height, with a wheelbase of 3,030 mm.
The exterior features DLP high-definition matrix projection headlights and interactive LED units capable of projecting lane-guidance “light carpets” and vehicle-width markers to enhance night-time safety. The vehicle rides on 21-inch sport wheels paired with Brembo brake callipers. Customers can choose from four exterior paint colours: Night Black, Morning White, Twilight Purple, and Sea Blue.
Interior and technology
Inside, key features include:
- Digital cockpit: An 85-inch AR-HUD, a dedicated instrument cluster, and a large floating central touchscreen powered by an AI assistant.
- Comfort: Integrated sport seats with built-in headrests and a clean centre console design featuring wireless charging and hidden cup holders.
The vehicle is equipped with the VLA large-model intelligent driving assistance system, supported by a Turing AI chip with 750 TOPS of computing power. The sensor suite includes 26 hardware components, enabling features such as highway and urban NOA (Navigate on Autopilot) and end-to-end AI-assisted parking.
Performance and range
The ID. Unyx 09 offers both single-motor and dual-motor all-wheel-drive configurations, all powered by CATL lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery packs of 91.963 kWh.

In August, Volkswagen Anhui delivered 1,302 vehicles, up 26% year on year.
