Market context
The move to bring the Shark to China comes as BYD faces shifting dynamics in the global pickup segment. Data indicates that export volumes for the Shark 6 reached 20,037 units in the first half of 2026, representing a 25.76% year-over-year decline. The model has seen significant concentration in the Australian market, which accounted for approximately 85% of its sales in June 2026.
